A MESSAGE FROM REVD LINZI

Greetings from Swaledale and Arkengarthdale!
I want to start by saying how very much I am looking forward to joining you in Riddlesden and Morton. It was wonderful to get to meet some of you this week and see some of the ways that you have been working together to build the Kingdom of God in your communities. Lots for me to get excited about joining in with!
A little about me. I grew up in Preston in Lancashire (sorry!) and have worked in a variety of roles and places including hospitality management, project management and for the Ambulance Service.
Immediately prior to training I lived and worked as part of the community at Scargill House, which is a Christian Retreat Centre in Wharfedale that you may know? My main roles there were as their marketing manager and leading on the youth and children’s work.
I trained at Cranmer Hall in Durham, and then have served my four year curacy in Swaledale with Arkengarthdale. A united parish of 250 square miles, comprising of four wonderful churches and people.
When not working my favourite things to do are to indulge in some wild swimming, spend time in my kitchen, and share meals and conversation with people. I love having my house filled with music and laughter.
I have a young adult daughter who is finishing her studies at Glasgow University, a small, elderly, but very sweet dog called Badger, and two cats.
I send this with my affection and prayers as we all prepare for this transition.
Rev. Linzi

Welcome from the Curate

Thank you for visiting St Luke's and St Mary's online. I hope you will get some idea of our services and activities by browsing here. But the church is much more than a website! Churches are places where we meet with God and with people.

I look forward to meeting you in person when you come to one of our services or special events.

Every blessing,

Rob Savage
